What makes Funky Monkey Soap different from regular soap?

Unlike traditional soaps that require water and rinsing, our Wipe-Off Soaps are designed to clean your hands without a sink. They’re rinse-free, eczema-friendly, and made with natural ingredients that won’t dry you out — even with frequent use.

How do I use the soap if there’s no water?

Just apply a small amount to your hands, rub like you would with any soap, and wipe clean with a towel, rag, or even a paper towel. That’s it — clean hands, no sink needed. If you prefer rinsing you are welcome to but it is not necessary.

 

Is it safe for sensitive skin or eczema?

Yes. Both our Everyday and Heavy-Duty formulas are cracked with eczema-friendly ingredients like colloidal oatmeal, aloe vera, oat oil, and panthenol. No parabens, sulfates, or synthetic fragrances — ever. We have not added anything to change the smell or look, you can actually smell the oatmeal and the clay actually used in the manufacturing.

Can I use it on my body?

Absolutely! Our Everyday Soap is formulated to be gentle enough for hands, face, and full-body use. It’s made with skin-nourishing ingredients and no harsh chemicals, so it’s safe for daily use on most skin types, including sensitive skin. You can rinse it off like a traditional soap or simply wipe it away—whichever works best for you. If you have any specific skin concerns or conditions, we always recommend doing a small patch test first, just to be safe

• Body – Great for daily showers or quick wipe-downs when water isn’t available.

• Face – Mild enough for most skin types, including sensitive skin.

Tip: If you have extremely sensitive skin or specific skin conditions, we recommend doing a small patch test first.

Why Are We More Expensive Than Other Soaps?

We get it — our prices might seem higher than the typical bottle you’d grab off a store shelf. But here’s the truth:

So yes, our soap might cost more — but it's because it does more.

Is it okay for kids?  

Yes! Our Everyday-Duty Wipe-Off Soap and Hand Sav are formulated with gentle, plant-based  ingredients that are safe for most skin types—including kids. We leave out the harsh stuff and  stick to eczema-friendly, rinse-free ingredients like colloidal oatmeal, aloe vera, jojoba oil, and vitamin E.  

That said, every child’s skin is unique. We always recommend doing a small patch test first,  especially if your child has known sensitivities or allergies. And of course, our Heavy-Duty  formula is designed for tougher messes—grown-up hands mostly—so we suggest keeping that  one for the big jobs! 

 

What’s the difference between Everyday and Heavy-Duty soap?  

Everyday-Duty Soap is gentle and ideal for frequent use, sensitive skin, and light messes. Heavy-Duty Soap is stronger, with ingredients like bentonite clay and Tremella extract to tackle  grease, grime, and industrial-level dirt — while still being skin-safe. 

 

Are your products all-natural?  

Yes. We use plant-based, skin-loving ingredients with no harsh detergents or synthetic fillers.  Our formulas are handcrafted in small batches for quality and safety. 

 

Do your products contain preservatives? 

Yes — but only a safe and effective one. We use Germall Plus, a gentle preservative that keeps  your soap shelf-stable without parabens, formaldehyde, or known irritants.  

 

Will your soap kill germs?  

Our soap physically removes dirt, grease, and germs from the skin — and does it gently. While  it's not marketed as antibacterial, proper use (rub and wipe) effectively cleans hands for most  everyday needs. 

 

Is it really rinse-free? Do I need to rinse after using Funky Monkey Soap ™? 

Yes. It is really a no-rinse soap. That’s the beauty of it. No rinse required. Just wipe clean with a  cloth or towel. If you prefer rinsing after using, you may, but it is not necessary. 

 

Is your packaging eco-friendly?  

We’re working toward it! Our bottles are recyclable, and we’re committed to minimizing  unnecessary packaging wherever possible. We also keep labels and inserts low-waste and  simple.  

 

Do your products expire?  

We recommend using within 24 months of opening. All products are made fresh in small  batches for maximum quality and shelf life.

Do you offer returns?  

Due to the nature of skincare, we don’t accept returns on used products. But if something  arrives damaged or you’re not satisfied, reach out — we’ll do our best to make it right.
